THIS WEEKEND IN LATVIA: "RIGA PEARL"

Latvian Bodybuilding, Fitness and Bodyfitness Federation has been very active in the latest months, organizing contests for children and women. Now it’s time for their leading project of this year: International IFBB Latvian Cup “Riga Pearl 2012”. This show, included women’s fitness, bodyfitness and bikini fitness as well as children fitness, will be held in the Concert Hall Studio 69 of the magnificent Royal Casino in Riga, T?rbatas street 73, Riga, www.royalhotel.lv

The contest will be held on September 29th, 2012 but athletes, officials, coaches, judges and supporter are advised to arrive on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, since the official registration of athletes will start next day (Saturday) at 10:00 in the morning. Opening of the contest at 14:00 (2:00 pm).

? Children Fitness: 8 up to 9 years of age (born 2003-2004)
? Children Fitness: 10 up to 11 years of age (born 2001-2002)
? Children Fitness: 12 up to 13 years of age (born 1999-2000)
? Children Fitness: 14 up to 16 years of age (born 1996-1998)
Latvian Federation President Christina Vedernikova told us –“ IFBB International contest only in IFBB women’s sport disciplines is the first in the Baltic bodybuilding and fitness history. The tournament is organized to promote the IFBB women's sports, developing the beautiful fitness category for women and children, and the new attractive bikini fitness sport.”
Over 70 athletes from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Ukraine and Russia have been nominated to this event. Totally 38 children as well as 32 athletes in women’s categories.
IFBB “Pearls” coming to Riga this year
Since this contest is staged one week prior to the World Women’s Championships in Bialystok, many top Baltic countries athletes treat it as a test of their preparations to the Worlds, so we will see IFBB international stars in their best body condition. According to the Press Release issued by President Vedernikova, among them we will see:
- Vilma Salaseviciute (Lithuania) – finalist of the European and World championships, bronze medal winner of the World Cup, absolute winner of the Grand Prix Pepa 2010.
- Egle Eller Nabi (Estonia) – finalist of the 2012 European Championship, bronze medal winner at the 2012 Baltic Match.
- Vitaliya Dmitrieva (Estonia) – finalist of the 2011 World Cup.
- Anastasija Cherednicenko (Latvia) – semifinalist of the 2012 European Championships.
- Inga Marinaka (Latvia) - semi-finalist of the 2012 European Championships
- Sonata Ilijonskiene (Lithuania) – semifinalist of the 2012 European Championships.
- Elena Kirshchina (Russia) – silver medal winner at the 2012Russian Championships.
- Evelina Dranseikaite (Lithuania) – semifinalist of the 2012 European Championships, bronze medal winner at the 2011 Grand Prix Pepa.
- Vlada Andrjuschenko (Latvia) – winner of the 2011 IFBB Riga Children Fitness Cup.
- Vanesa Belova (Latvia) – gold medal winner at the 2010 and 2012 World Children Championships.
- Olga Penkina (Russia) – winner of the 2011 IFBB Riga Children Fitness Cup.
- Daryna Khomenko (Ukraine) – silver medal winner of the 2011 IFBB Riga Children Fitness Cup.
Taking into account the above names, we can say it will be the rare opportunity to see so many beautiful and shaped bodies in one place. Top emotions guaranteed!
