THREE (contests) IN ONE (weekend) plus OLYMPIA

by Andrew Michalak

The last weekend of September (28th30th) will be a very meaningful one in the IFBB activity.
In professional bodybuilding, the most prestigious contest will be held in Las Vegas, USA: The Olympia Weekend.
In amateur bodybuilding, Europe will explode with three big international competitions:
- Norway Open in Trondheim
- International Womens Cup Riga Pearl 2012 in Riga, Latvia
- International Austria Cup in Vienna

Olympia Weekend main question is if Phil Heath will defend his Mr. Olympia title won last year against attacking top challengers: Kai Greene, Dennis Wolf, Dexter Jackson, Branch Warren and others? Altogether, 24 world top pro bodybuilders qualified to this contest this year but two top players: Jay Cutler and Victor Martinez withdrew due to the injury. According to bodybuilding.com also Cedric McMillan, Jon Delarosa and Juan Morel will not participate and Balto Abbaspour may not be competing either.
More info on the Olympia Weekend at: http://www.ifbbpro.com/ and http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/2012-olympia-weekend-coverage.html. As usual, bodybuilding.com will provide a live, free webcast.
