STARS OF THE 2010 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS DONETSK

There were 20 category winners at the 2010 European Juniors and Masters Championships recently held in Donetsk, Ukraine. Some of them are already well-known stars, some are stars of the future. Have a closer look on some of them.





Olga Stepyna young, 20 years old, fitness star, student at the University of Economics in Dnepropetrovsk. Former high-level competitive gymnast. Outstanding elegance of every move, precision, flexibility, perfect technique. Also tries to work as a photo model. Her sport dream: to be the European women champion.





Adela Ondrejovicova junior bodyfitness over 163 cm and overall champion. Student at the Trencin University in Slovakia. She is 20 years old and this event was her inaugural performance at the international level. Almost perfect overall body proportions and body lines, fuller, nicely shaped muscles. All bodyparts beautifully harmonized: calves, thighs, lats, shoulder width. The real discovery of her trainer Pavol Jarabek.





Liana Pall European junior womens bodybuilding champion. Repeated her success from 2009 but this time it was a completely different athlete: matured, with shaped, bigger and harder muscles. Her low and massive lats create, with narrow waist, perfect V-taper upper body. She is 20 years old and studies at the Physical Education University in the Romanian city of Sibiu. Denis Avlasenkov continental champion in juniors bodybuilding up to 75 kg class. 21 years old weight training instructor at the Elite Gym in Kaliningrad, Russia. Winner of the 2010 Cup of Russia in Krasnodar. Physique of the genuine bodybuilder, with perfect shoulders to waist proportions. Short lumbar section and longer legs. We can trust that his trainer Roman Ovchinnikov will make him a champion in mens 70 kg division. Currently his bodyweight is 68 kg at 167 cm height.





Mykhailo Itchenko junior bodybuilding heavyweight (over 75 kg) and overall winner. For sure, he is an athlete with tremendous potentials, with fantastic overall physique contours and harmonized muscular development. His bodyweight in Donetsk was 108 kg. He is 20 years old and studies at the Chernigov State University of Technology. This bodybuilding diamond has been polished by trainer Arseniy Melenevskiy.





Tetyana Mikheychyk well-known Ukrainian champion with longer competitive history, performing in bodybuilding mixed pairs (current European champion) as well as in masters bodyfitness (3rd place at the 2009 Championships in Baia Mare, Romania). Low-fat, hard body, with visible separation in abs and thighs area was her main weapon in the battle for the continental title. She works in the position of Director of the Nika Tour Travel Agency in the far east Ukrainian city of Lugansk. She is 37 years old and is trained by Oleg Krandiyevskiy.





Taavi Koovit is a classic bodybuilding champion, successful in mens division as well as in masters division. He was the 2009 European Mens Championships winner in over 180 cm tall class and 2010 continental runner-up as well. It isnt a surprise that he unanimously won the masters title in his inaugural performance in this age division in Donetsk. Showing full, hard and well-defined muscles he impressed the judges and the audience. He lives in Tallinn, Estonia, working as a trainer in Sparta Gym.





Stephen Graham won the gold medal for United Kingdom in masters 40-49 age, up to 80 kg class. Stephen has been performing since 2005 but has never entered the continental or world championships finals before. Now he could participate in the masters division for the first time and he was immediately successful. He displayed very proportional physique with balanced muscularity and top conditions. He lives in a small town Ballymoney in Northern Ireland and by profession is a mechanical engineer. He is trained by Dr. E. Serrano.





Anatoliy Kudlay winner of the over 90 kg in masters 40-49 age division. He is a top master bodybuilder of the world, winner of the overall title at the 2007 World Masters Championships. His overall muscle size and quality are very impressive. His fantastic back development and details are rare even in the mens division. His bodyweight was 108 kg. He is 43 years old, lives in Dnepropetrovsk and is trained by his wife Tatyana.





Werner Zenk bodybuilding champion in the masters up to 80 kg category, age 50-59. He won bronze medal at the 2003 World Mens Championships and was the champion of the 2005 World Games, finishing ahead of the world champions: Igor Kocis and Corrado Maggiore. He repeated his 2009 success, showing in age 56 prefect body condition and wonderful body lines.





Inigo Ortiz de Mendibil continental masters champion in over 80 kg class, 50-59 age division. He has began his competitive career in 1987 but then had a break between 1990 and 2007. He won his category unanimously, ahead of the Worlds runner-up Antonio Vergiani. By profession, he is a technician but currently works as a bodybuilding instructor in the Spanish city of Bilbao.
