Four (out of six) Men’s
Physique winning statuettes
went to Asia (Japan x 2, Kuwait,
UAE), the rest to Mexico and
Brazil, with the overall title for
Brazilian Geder Gomes. Big win
turned to misfortune: Spanish
Ana Albaladejo clearly won the
Bikini Masters class (with perfect
scores!) and then… didn’t appear
to the awarding ceremony (due
to the incorrectly understood
announcement) and was
disqualified, leaving the winning
statuette to Marbellis Ballestas
of Colombia. Caribbean athletes
were successful in masters
classes wining two titles: in
Bodyfitness (Trinidad & Tobago)
and Bodybuilding +50 years
(Curacao).
