HE 2017 WORLD
Ranking Closing Gala for
Bodybuilding, Classic
Bodybuilding and Men’s
T Physique divisions was a so
attractive spectacle that we can say
it has opened a new era in the IFBB.
Under the leadership of its President,
Dr. Rafael Santonja, the International
Federation, created by Joe and Ben
Weider in 1946, has not stopped growing,
already reaching 196 member-countries
and Olympic recognition in Asia and
America.
Since November 5th, 2017, after
the celebration of the 71st World
Bodybuilding Championships in
Benidorm, athletes from around
the world have found a new level of
motivation and recognition, seeing
as the top 30 male competitors of the
planet in 2017 were awarded with a total
of EUR 132,000 (USD 153,000) during
a special gala dinner at the Benidorm
Place, attended by delegates, athletes
and supporters from more than 80
IFBB President, Dr. countries.
Rafael Santonja – an
architect of the Elite IFBB World Ranking, which offers
Amateur World a total of EUR 200,000 (USD 240,000)
Ranking, along with distributed in 5 sport divisions, already
his wife Nieves; at the
Awarding Gala. faces its second, 2018 edition, which
will include at least the following 15
qualifying international competitions
organized in 5 continents throughout
the Ranking season:
