PRESIDENT OF THE DOMINICAN
REPUBLIC OLYMPIC COMMITTEE, AND
IOC MEMBER LIC. LUIS MEJÍA OVIEDO;
RECEIVED THE IFBB SPIRIT OF SPORT

The President of the Dominican Republic Olympic Committee, Lic.
Luis Mejía Oviedo attended the 2016 IFBB Junior & Master World
Championships, hold in Santo Domingo (Dominican Rep.), and was
awarded by the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness,
with the prestigious IFBB Spirit of Sport.
Mr. Mejía Oviedo became President of the Dominican Republic
Olympic Committee, in 2006, when replaced Mr. José Joaquín
Puello -.and is Member of the International Olympic Committee.
Always receptive with Bodybuilding and open to contribute to
the promotion of the sport, IFBB President, Dr. Rafael Santonja
awarded him with the Spirit of Sport, for his international support
to Fitness and healthy lifestyle.

MR. GIANNI MERLO,
RE-ELECETED AS AIPS
PRESIDENT

President Gianni Merlo (Italy) has been
unanimously reelected President of the
International Sport Press Association (AIPS), at the
electoral Congress of the association held last April
17th, in Seoul, Korea.
AIPS is recognized by the IOC and President Gianni
Merlo, who will run his fourth term as AIPS chief, is a
prestigious and highly respected journalist, with a
wide experience in sports, as reporter of the Italia´s
daily newspaper “Gazetta dello Sport”.
The IFBB warmly congratulated President
Merlo for his well deserved
reelection, and wishing him and AIPS a
successful new period of activities Dr. Rafael Santonja, with AIPS President, Mr. Gianni Merlo; at the IFBB corner in the SportAccord Meeting, in Aarhus (Denmark).
