IFBB ATTENDED WADA SYMPOSIUM IN LAUSANNE

Led by President Santonja, an IFBB delegation composed by Prof. Mauricio de
Arruda (Chairman of Anti-doping Committee) and Mr. Marco Bosco (IFBB Legal
Adviser) attended the important Symposium organized by the World Anti-

Doping Agency (WADA) in Lausanne (Switzerland), from 21 to 23 March.
This is the 14 edition of the WADA Annual Symposium and, during 3 days,

gather the world anti-doping community with presentations, practical workshops,
networking sessions and interviews. The major event organizers, government
representatives, national anti-doping agencies and international federations, as
IFBB, are attending the event in compliance with the new anti-doping code.

IRAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE

With the occasion of the Persian Gulf
Diamond Cup organized in Tehran, under
the leadership of Nasser Pouralifard,
President of the Iranian Bodybuilding
Federation.
President Santonja meets with the
General Secretary of the National Olympic
Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran,
Mr Shahrokh Shahnazi.
Both organizations, IFBB and Iranian
Olympic Committee have a very fluent and
close relation.

IRAQ & IFBB ACADEMY: 150 NEW
SPECIALISTS IN BODYBUILDING &
FITNESS

Past 16 and 17 March, in coordination with the Iraqi

Bodybuilding Federation, IFBB International Academy
has organized, in Baghdad, the 1st. International
Training Course on Bodybuilding & Fitness, with the
participation of more than 150 trainers from different
parts of the country.
The prestigious Dr. Salah Taher was the main
lecturer during the two days. The first session was
opened with a speech by Mr. Fayez Abdel-Hassan
-President of the Iraqi Central Bodybuilding
Federation-, welcoming all students and pledging to
provide all the necessary resources for the success of
the session and its importance in the desired form
that suits the reputation of Iraq and its great history,
especially in sports.
The opening of the course was also attended by
the representative of the Minister of Youth & Sports,
Dr. Alaa Abdul Qader, and several representatives of
the Iraqi Olympic Committee, besides other sports
personalities.
