GETTA BEQA, ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Getta Beqa, also known as Getta, is a multifaceted fitness athlete born on September 2, 1981, in Gjakovë, Kosovo. Married to Asdren Ahmeti, her personal fitness trainer, they have three daughters and reside in Pristina. Getta studied Physical Education and Sports at the University of Pristina, earning academic degrees and a Ph.D.

In addition to her sports career, she has excelled as a dancer, choreographer, actress, and singer. The owner of “GETTA,” a clothing business, she is also a personal trainer and manages the “GETTFIT” gym.

Throughout her career, she has led television projects on physical exercise and has gained international recognition in fitness competitions, such as European Champion, six-time Diamond Cup Champion, Arnold Classic Europe Champion, and many more, including the title of World Champion.

Recently, at “The Stars of Sport,” a magical evening of recognition for athletes organized by the President, Mr. Fidel Ylli, of the Olympic Committee of Albania, prominent figures from the sports and political arenas were present, including the Prime Minister, Mr. Edi Rama, and the President of the European Olympic Committees, Mr. Spyros Capralos, along with many sports enthusiasts.

In this magnificent evening, Getta received the award for the Best Athlete of the Year. Congratulations, Getta, on your incredible sports career!
