The 2023 ediTion of the Roger Boyce Classic held in WIllIams
Barbados was a pleasant encounter between many of (antigua &
the islands that make up the Caribbean of the Antilles. Barbuda)

Belle excellent multipurpose palace, with very good lighting
(Barbados) and sound. In addition, the athletes had good facilities winner.
Bodyfitness for warming up and preparing for their competition. In an
winner. environment with a very good entry and a spirited
public, the competition began at 2 pm.
The Bodyfitness competition opened the event with a
local athlete clearly dominating: Kara-Lynn Belle. In
Master Bodybuilding there was very good quality,
especially with the champion Steve Williams of Antigua
& Barbuda who, tall and proportionate, presented an
impressive physique for his 58 years. Curiously, what
attracted most attention was the quality of his skin,
completely and absolutely normal for someone in their
20s but not for some his age. In Classic Bodybuilding it
was the Jamaican Jahvarie Johnson who took the title, in
a difficult category with a virtual tie for the top 3;
Jahvarie was the best poser of the 3 and this perhaps
tipped the victory for the Jamaican.
In the first of the two Wellness categories, Cara
Saunders from the Bahamas stood out with a forceful
physique characteristic of Wellness in the Caribbean,
while the excellent athlete Kayla Joseph from Antigua &
Barbuda was second, being the best poser and only to
improve the competition point. Local athlete Maria
Grimes was third. In the Tall class of Wellness, Sherea
Clarke from Jamaica was the winner, especially with her
back poses, where the legs/buttocks were ahead of the
rest, so much so that she was also the Overall Wellness
winner of the competition, while Kala Francis from
Antigua & Barbuda was second, and Lovette Shepherd
from Barbados was third.
