winner. Muscular Men’s Physique, Derryck Clarke from
Barbados was first.
The most popular of the men’s categories was
Classic Physique, as is customary in almost all
events. The winner of Classic Bodybuilding was
Jahvarie Johnson from Jamaica. In women’s Bikini,
Barbados shone especially, showing that in the short
class the first 3 were from this country, Mikhaila
Farie being gold. In the tall class, with no less than 10
athletes, the level was much more complicated,
being the athlete from Antigua & Barbuda Makiva
Elvin who won her size and also the overall.
In Bodybuilding, we were able to attend the duel
of less than 70 kilos between the athletes from
Barbados Sanaj Lewis and Curtis Kirby that made
the former the winner and leaving Curtis a silver
medal. In less than 80 kilos, the champion was the
veteran athlete from Barbados, Hoskyn Worrell;
huge, immense, with the best back in the
competition, although with legs that could be
improved. At less than 90 kilos, Nicholas Albert from
Guyana was the best version of what it means to
have genetics for the sport of bodybuilding. He was
large, proportionate, with a minimal waist, pumped
up arms and shoulders. Perhaps he could have
pushed more in his definition and that was what
made him not win the overall. In the heavyweight
class, it was the Mexican Jose Armando Felix who,
unquestionably, swept the heavyweight and
prevailed in the Overall. Big, shredded, hard, without
any muscle failure, he prevailed resoundingly.
