IFBB President and Chair, Dr. Rafael Santonja, opened the Congress, welcomed all the delegates, officials and
competitors in attendance, warmly thanked Mr. Joan Campolier, Major of the Santa Susana and IFBB Patron for
his great work and the whole Municipality of Santa Susanna in the preparation of the World Championships,
held in a town where bodybuilding and fitness feel as at home.

IFBB INSTITUTIONAL RELATIONS
• The IFBB is a full member and/or is recognized by the following Olympic and International Sports Institutions
and Organizations: Olympic Council of Asia (OCA); Pan-American Sports Organization (PANAMSPORTS);
Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization (CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS); Central America Sports
Organization (ODECA); South America Sports Organization (ODESUR); Association of National Olympic
Committees of Africa (ANOCA); Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF); World Anti
Doping Agency (WADA); Association of Pan American Sports Confederations (ACODEPA); Association of
African Sports Confederation (AASC); International University Sports Federation (FISU); Alliance of
Independent, Recognized Members of Sport (AIMS); International World Games Association (IWGA); The
Association for International Sport for all (TAFISA).
• The IFBB is a full member and/or is recognized by the following International Education and Coaching
Institutions: European Union Sport Forum – European College of Sport Science (ECSS); International Sport
Press Association (AIPS); International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE); International Council of Sports
Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE); International Pierre De Coubertin Committee (CIPC); Peace and
Sport.
• With reference to the withdrawal of the status of WADC [World Anti-Doping Code] compliant, President
Santonja explained the huge work the IFBB is doing to restore its ‘in compliance’ status. The main measures
to be taken by the IFBB to achieve this aim, are related to the increase in financial resources, the review of
the risk assessment and the redistribution of anti-doping tests. The IFBB and the IFBB Anti-Doping
Commission are working closely with the World Anti Doping Agency, coordinating these measures with the
firm goal of recover this status as soon as possible.

compliance was enclosed at pages 15-34 of the Agenda.
