2022 IFBB INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS
PROPOSALS APPROVED BY THE CONGRESS
• To implement a new competition category: Men’s Physique – Early Junior, intended for the participation of
the athletes between the ages 15 and 16.
• Establishment of the Children Commission.
• Establishment of the ‘Fitness Challenge Commission’.
• Establishment of the ‘University Commission’.
• Settlement of a deadline for the payment of the Annual Affiliation Fee.
• All National Federations must carefully schedule their national events, with respect and accordance to the
IFBB. Official activities, such as all the IFBB Continental Championships, and all the IFBB World
Championships, for Male and Women Categories, in its Junior, Senior and Master Editions.
• Based in the expected increase of Anti-Doping Program related expenses, and accordingly to the actions
established by other Sport Federations, an Anti-Doping Fee to be applied to all the competitors participating
at Official Championships (World/Continental Championships) has been settled.
• To switch the name from ‘INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF BODYBUILDING AND FITNESS’ to
‘INTERNATIONAL FITNESS AND BODYBUILDING FEDERATION’ keeping the same logo design and acronym
‘IFBB’ adding the word ‘FEDERATION’ below.
• The African Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness announced new Executive Committee in function for the
next term asking for the Congress approval:
Dr. Adel Fahim El Sayed, Egypt, President; Kamel Nedjah from Argelia- North Africa; Ariana Batalha from
Angola – Central Africa and East Africa; Abdul Hayye Yartey, from Ghana- West Africa; Wayne Price, from
South Africa – South Africa.

The new elected and appointed IFBB Executive Council Members for the period 2022/2026 are the following:
President: Dr. Rafael Santonja, Spain;
General Secretary; Ralph Decelis, Malta;
Executive Assistant to President: Dr. Eng. Adel Fahim, Egypt;
Executive Director: Gabriel Toncean, Romania;
Vice-General Secretary: Sanjay More, India;
Area Vice Presidents:
• Africa: Adel Fahim, Egypt;
• Asia: Sheikh Abdulla Bin Ahmad Al Sharki, UAE;
• North America: Marco Antonio Cabezas, Mexico
• Central America: Eduardo Abdalah, Nicaragua;
• South America: Juan Paredes, Ecuador;
• Caribbean: Giovanni Arendsz, Aruba;
• Europe: Pawel Filleborn, Poland;
• South Pacific and Oceania: Paul Graham, Australia
