The beautiful village of Nafplio will host, coming next 22nd to 24th March, the 1st. edition of “The President Santonja´s Cup”, included in the IFBB World Ranking (7 points for the winner, in every category) and Elite Pro Qualifier event, with up to 24 Elite Pro cards, for the Top 3 athletes in every of its 8 Sports Divisions.

Located in Eastern Peloponnese, Nafplio is a seaport town, with a very sunny and mild climate and, as a consequence, has become in a very popular touristic destiny that IFBB athletes and officials will appreciate! The Municipal Stadium of Nafplio will host both events (Pro-Am), as on Saturday 24th will be celebrated the IFBB Elite Pro Show of Nafplio, with 50.000 € in cash prizes.

Organized by the well-known promoter and athlete, Anastasios Koligkionis, with the support of Greek Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation chaired by Jordan Leventelis; the President Santonja´s Cup is open for worldwide athletes, from all the IFBB-affiliated National Federations. The Divisions included are, as follows:

▪ Men´s Physique (Master & Absolute)
▪ Muscular Men´s Physique

The top 3 winners from the amateur overall in Bodybuilding, Classic Bodybuilding, Men´s Physique, Bikini, and Bodyfitness will be eligible to participate in the Elite Pro Show.

We are immersed in a health international emergency as a consequence of the Covid-19 epidemic.

In this situation, we must follow the applicable national and international regulations and the advice from governments and sanitary authorities.

All this has to be done with positive energy and best spirit, maintaining our focus on the fact that any epidemical situation has expansion, stabilization and reduction periods, and that with adequate care, this nightmare is going to be a bad memory soon.

By all means, the integrity of our athletes, officials, judges and of all who integrate our community is now and always essential. We are a family in sport and life.

We can expect to reach the epidemic peak and a progressive settle down, as is already happening in some of the countries in suffering this situation at first instance.

In conclusion, let’s be confident and keep working as a team, following the decisions from the competent authorities. Some events have been canceled and others are being rescheduled to a new date in which we may be able to celebrate with our athletes and friends our passion for sport and healthy lifestyle.
