MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF NORTH MACEDONIA

Skopje, North Macedonia – Over the weekend, the eagerly awaited IFBB Balkan Championships unfolded in the vibrant city of Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. The event, which garnered a massive turnout of participants, witnessed a display of extraordinary athleticism as competitors vied for the prestigious title of Balkan Champion in their respective categories. The diverse array of contests showcased outstanding performances across various disciplines, including Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique, Bikini Fitness, and Men’s Classic Bodybuilding.

However, the excitement didn’t end there. The IFBB Fitness Challenge – Speed Fit Competition also took center stage, adding an extra layer of thrill to
the already adrenaline-pumping event.

The prestigious occasion was joined by IFBB President, Santonja, who expressed his delight at the amazing success of the championships. During his visit, Dr Santonja , joined by IFBB General secretary , Ralph Decelis, and the President of the North of Macedonia Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation, Mr. Boban Goroski ,was honored, visiting President of the Republic of North Macedonia,H.E. Mr. Stevo Pendarovski, in a very interesting
meeting hold at President residence, which marked a significant moment of recognition for the sport of fitness and bodybuilding and its impact on the
society as a healthy lifestyle. President Santonja took as well the opportunity to meet with key figures in the sporting community of North Macedonia, as Mr. Vladimir Bogoevski, the Sports Director of the Macedonian Olympic Committee, and Mr. Naumche Mojsovski, the Director of the Sports Agency, fostering stronger ties between the International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding (IFBB) and the sports authorities in North Macedonia. The exchange of ideas and perspectivesaimed to promote the growth of bodybuilding and fitness in the country and strengthen the overall sporting landscape.

President Santonja’s meetings with Mr. Bogoevski and Mr. Mojsovski allowed them to explore potential collaborations and initiatives to further support and develop the sport at both national and international levels. They discussed strategies to encourage more young athletes to participate in bodybuilding and fitness, emphasizing the importance of fitness and a healthy lifestyle among the youth.

The meetings with these prominent officials reflect the IFBB’s commitment to establishing strong relationships with national sports bodies, promoting
fitness, and nurturing talent worldwide.As a result of these discussions, it is expected that the sport of bodybuilding and fitness in North Macedonia will
witness growth and recognition, inspiringm more athletes to pursue their passion and represent their country on the global stage. Beyond the institutional and competitive aspects, the IFBB Balkan Championships served as a platform for cultural exchange and camaraderie among nations.
