MR. REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA 2018: LAS NUEVAS ESTRELLAS CARIBEÑAS / THE NEW CARIBBEAN STARS FROM DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.

El pasado fin de semana del 30 de Junio al 1 de Julio tuvo lugar, en el Hotel & Casino “Jaragua” de Santo Domingo, la edición 29ª del Mr. República Dominicana, organizado por la Federación Nacional (FDFF) que preside el Sr. Toni Peña.

El evento, auspiciado por Vitasalud con el patrocinio de la compañía MuscleTech, permitió descubrir a los nuevos campeones nacionales del país caribeño, los cuales demostraron el alto nivel deportivo de la República Dominicana, en las especialidades de Fitness y Bodybuilding. Los campeones fueron los siguientes:

Last weekend -June 30th to July 1st- took place, at the Hotel & Casino “Jaragua” of Santo Domingo, the 29th edition of Mr. Dominican Republic, organized by the National Federation (FDFF) chaired by Mr. Toni Peña

The event, sponsored by company Vitasalud with the sponsorship of the MuscleTech, made it possible to find out the new national champions of the Caribbean country, who demonstrated the high level in Fitness and Bodybuilding, at the Dominican Republic. The champions were as follows:

Ligeros: Edwin García (Santo Domingo Este)

Welter: Johnny Solano (Higüey)

Medios: Andrés Eduardo Taveras (Santo Domingo Norte)

Semipesados: Cosobo Ortíz (Santiago)

Pesados: Gerard Toribio Perez (Distrito Nacional)

Master: Casimiro del Carmen (Puerto Plata)

Open: Enrique Galván (Higüey)

Media-Baja (-172 cm): Ricardo Alexis Gil

We are immersed in a health international emergency as a consequence of the Covid-19 epidemic.

In this situation, we must follow the applicable national and international regulations and the advice from governments and sanitary authorities.

All this has to be done with positive energy and best spirit, maintaining our focus on the fact that any epidemical situation has expansion, stabilization and reduction periods, and that with adequate care, this nightmare is going to be a bad memory soon.

By all means, the integrity of our athletes, officials, judges and of all who integrate our community is now and always essential. We are a family in sport and life.

We can expect to reach the epidemic peak and a progressive settle down, as is already happening in some of the countries in suffering this situation at first instance.

In conclusion, let’s be confident and keep working as a team, following the decisions from the competent authorities. Some events have been canceled and others are being rescheduled to a new date in which we may be able to celebrate with our athletes and friends our passion for sport and healthy lifestyle.
