Remember that the consumption
of fat (except trans fat) allows the
body to get used to using it as fuel
and facilitates weight loss. It can
even make up something more
than 50% of our daily intake.
Maintaining the percentage of
fat appropriate for health and to
achieve an attractive physical image
is achieved by staying away from
“elevator” diets in which the scale
oscillates too far up or down or does
so at an excessive speed.
Beware of the diet gurus! they
sometimes preach foods that are
absurd and very often contradict
each other. This is the case of the
celebrated Dr. Atkins, creator of
the atkins diet, a diet very low in
carbohydrates and very high in fat.
When he died, he was obese and did
not present a youthful image. Such
mediocre personal performances
would make me doubt as to
following his advice.
