í the fiftieth
anniversary of the
Central American and Caribbean
Championships (CAC) is a date we
will remember thanks to the number
of participants (around 200 athletes),
the number of participating countries
(21, no less) and the outstanding
quality of all of them. The federation
of the beautiful island of Aruba, just a
few miles from the Venezuelan coast,
directed by Giovani Arendz, did an
excellent job, taking good care of all
the details that athletes like: a large
quality hotel with all the kitchen
equipment any competitor would look
for, transportation to the venue and a
huge stage with a screen that elevated
the show to new levels of quality.
In purely sporting terms, we
would like to highlight the overall
champion of Classic Bodybuilding,
the Salvadoran Yuri Rodríguez,
who has been the true winner
of the weekend, as he won in
several Master divisions, and
also senior winner of various
disciplines, in addition to overall
Classic Bodybuilding and Masters
Bodybuilding champion. This is
an event he is sure to remember
