to why Yuri triumphed is simple:
he came in better than ever. Good
size even for Classic Bodybuilding,
proportioned from head to toe
and back to front, full and with an
excellent point of definition aside
from being an excellent poser, both
in the obligatory poses and in the
free choreographies.
The Muscular Men’s Physique
medallists should also be
highlighted for their quality of
athletes. All three showed excellent
body structures, perhaps the first
two had better condition and a
little more experience in the pose,
but honestly one of the best classes
in this discipline that I have seen
in an American championship.
Champion Leonardo Varela from
Costa Rica will go quite far, I’m
sure. In Bodyfitness, Katherine
Chavarría from Costa Rica imposed
her good shape, correct condition
and great presentation and
movements on stage. In Classic
Physique, the overall champion
was Jonathan Aubry from Antigua
& Barbuda, who did not have an
easy time winning his class nor the
overall against the Salvadoran star
Yuri Rodríguez; nonetheless, his
muscular balance, his good shape
and structure and a correct leanness
gave him the overall victory.
